Store Manager – Retail Leadership Role

About the role

This position leads a high‑profile store in Barnstaple for a market‑leading big‑box retailer. You will be responsible for driving performance, coaching a dynamic team, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and build brand loyalty.
• Lead, coach and inspire staff to meet sales and service targets.
• Oversee store operations including stock control, rotas and visual merchandising.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, loss prevention and store presentation standards.
• Analyse sales data, monitor trends and act on market opportunities.
• Consistently achieve and exceed KPIs and commercial objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Store Manager, Branch Manager or General Manager.
• Strong people‑leadership abilities with a track record of building high‑performing teams.
• Commercial acumen with a focus on profitability and cost control.
• Customer‑first mindset and passion for retail.
