Store Manager – Retail – Leeds

About the role

Bird & Blend Tea Co. is looking for an enthusiastic Store Manager to lead its Leeds shop. Reporting to the Retail Area Manager, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional tea experience, driving sales, and fostering a sustainable, inclusive store culture.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure every customer receives a memorable Bird & Blend experience and handle escalated queries promptly.
• Drive sales performance, meet KPIs, and develop marketing strategies alongside the Assistant Manager.
• Lead, motivate and coach a high‑performing team, handling recruitment, training and performance reviews.
• Oversee daily operations, including opening/closing, staff rotas, visual merchandising and stock management.
• Plan and execute stock takes, maintain optimal inventory levels and minimise discrepancies.
• Organise and host in‑store and community events, sampling sessions and local collaborations.
• Champion the company’s B‑Corp sustainability goals and embed them into store practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role within a customer‑facing environment.
• Proven sales track record and ability to meet commercial targets.
• Strong people‑management skills, including recruitment, coaching and employee‑relations handling.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and visual‑merchandising abilities.
• Passion for tea and the brand’s values, with a genuine enthusiasm for sharing product knowledge.
• Flexible availability to work weekends, evenings and varied weekly shifts.
