Storeman / Goods‑In Manager – Warehouse Operations

About the role

We are seeking an organised, reliable and hands‑on Storeman / Goods‑In Manager to join our growing OEM sales and distribution business in Wickford, Essex. You will own the warehouse and goods‑in / goods‑out processes, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of stock from delivery through to dispatch.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the goods‑in and warehouse area.
• Receive, check and accurately record incoming deliveries.
• Inspect goods for quantity and condition, reporting any discrepancies.
• Label, store and organise stock correctly.
• Arrange and coordinate outgoing deliveries and collections.
• Maintain accurate stock records and support regular inventory checks.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
• Liaise with suppliers, couriers, customers and internal teams.
• Follow company procedures for stock control, goods‑in and dispatch.
• Support process improvements and manage a small team to boost efficiency.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a warehouse, goods‑in, stock control or stores environment, preferably within distribution, wholesale, manufacturing or OEM.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently in a fast‑paced setting.
• Confident using computers and warehouse or stock management systems.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with colleagues, suppliers and customers.

Required skills

• NetSuite (or similar ERP) experience.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems.
• Familiarity with stock management software.
