Stores & Logistics Operative – Full Training Provided

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Stores & Logistics Operative to join our laboratory operations team in Witham. The role offers full training, including forklift certification, and provides a clear pathway for a long‑term career in a supportive, award‑winning global organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and move deliveries of chemicals, consumables and other stock into the main stores.
• Transfer samples, glassware and materials between laboratories.
• Handle waste management processes – weighing, labelling and storing waste safely.
• Process stock movements, maintain accurate records and carry out regular stock checks.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, using a forklift where required (training provided).
• Support wider logistics activities, including operating the company van.

Required profile

• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Good organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Basic IT and numeracy competence.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
• Physically fit and flexible to work shift patterns, including occasional weekends.
• No prior experience required – ideal for candidates from warehouse, manufacturing or production backgrounds.

What we offer

• Salary £25,479‑£26,256 per year (DOE) plus a 10 % shift allowance.
• 37.5 hours per week with a weekly rotation between 6 am‑1 pm and 1 pm‑8 pm.
