Stores Operative – Warehouse Role in Goole

About the role

We are looking for a Stores Operative to join the supply‑chain team at Siemens Mobility’s new facility in Goole. The role supports the construction of London’s new underground fleet by handling materials throughout the warehouse.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and unload goods, applying correct manual‑handling techniques.
• Store items in designated locations and record transactions in SAP.
• Check delivered material against documentation for quality and quantity.
• Complete and file delivery paperwork.
• Pick, pack and issue material kits to production lines.
• Re‑stock line‑side locations and conduct both planned and ad‑hoc audits.
• Transfer material between storage locations and sites using the management system.
• Perform safety audits of racking, shelving and equipment, reporting any issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to pass a drugs and alcohol test (standard for rail depots).
• Counter‑balance forklift experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with SAP or Maximo is a plus.

What we offer

• £15.17‑£20.39 per hour (PAYE)
• 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday shifts
• On‑going contract with immediate start
