Stores & Workshop Apprentice – Redhill

About the role

Join a busy and supportive team in Redhill as a Stores & Workshop Apprentice. This full‑time, permanent apprenticeship gives you hands‑on experience across workshop operations, stores management and technical assembly, while you receive structured training to launch a long‑term career in engineering, logistics or technical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with functional testing of equipment and support mechanical assembly and hardware installation.
• Use hand tools for mechanical and electrical tasks, prepare cables and connectors, and help assemble and wire panel systems.
• Maintain a safe, organised workshop environment and keep records up to date.
• Support goods‑in and goods‑out processes, pick, check and pack equipment for dispatch.
• Help with stock control, inventory management, stock takes and cycle counts.
• Ensure accurate recording of serial numbers and assist with general facilities and housekeeping duties.

Required profile

• Practical, hands‑on and eager to learn.
• Organised with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
• Reliable, trustworthy and able to work as part of a team.
• Physically capable of handling equipment safely.
• Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
• No prior industry experience required, but a genuine interest in engineering, workshop activities or logistics is advantageous.
