Stores & Workshop Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Stores & Workshop Supervisor to lead daily operations in a busy engineering and distribution environment. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will manage both store and workshop activities while providing front‑line customer service at the trade counter.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee store operations, including order picking, packing and goods‑in inspection.
• Maintain accurate stock records, support stocktaking and replenish workshop supplies.
• Assemble hydraulic, pneumatic and industrial products using manual and mechanical methods.
• Ensure workshop work complies with company procedures and industry standards.
• Maintain a safe, organised workplace with high housekeeping standards.
• Provide excellent customer service at the trade counter, processing orders and handling payments.
• Supervise and support a small team of two staff members.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, workshop or engineering setting.
• Practical understanding of engineering products or processes.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.
• Good communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Basic IT proficiency and confidence using computer systems.
