Strategic Accounts Business Developer

About the role

Checkout.com is looking for an enthusiastic Strategic Accounts Business Developer to accelerate enterprise development of global accounts from its London office. You will play a fundamental role in rapid growth, working cross‑functionally with sales, product, engineering and more to shape tailored solutions for our largest merchants.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own strategic account plans and end‑to‑end deal progression for a portfolio of key prospects in collaboration with Enterprise Sales Representatives.
• Conduct in‑depth market and account analysis to generate actionable insights that accelerate sales cycles and inform business strategy.
• Leverage AI‑driven systems such as Salesforce and 6Sense to optimise lead generation, strategic planning and pipeline accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including Product, Solutions Engineering and Legal—to ensure aligned effort when onboarding key merchants.

Required profile

• Proven experience in enterprise sales development, strategic account management or consultative B2B sales, preferably within payments, fintech or financial services.
• Demonstrated ability to build multi‑threaded relationships with stakeholders up to the C‑suite level in large enterprises.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven approach to account mapping and forecasting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial and technical value propositions.
