Strategic Asset Manager

About the role
TristoneNash Ltd, working exclusively with Westward Housing Group, is seeking an experienced Strategic Asset Manager to shape investment priorities and deliver data‑driven asset plans across their housing portfolio. You will provide strategic insight to senior leadership, supporting sustainability and net‑zero ambitions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a long‑term asset management strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
- Implement a software‑driven approach to ensure accurate property data and value‑for‑money outcomes.
- Analyse asset performance using financial, social and sustainability indicators such as NPV, lifecycle costing and energy efficiency.
- Prepare reports and business cases for executive and board decision‑making.
- Present asset insights and investment plans clearly to senior leadership.
- Support multi‑year investment planning, incorporating stock condition, building safety, energy performance and financial modelling.
- Review delivery outcomes to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and manage portfolio‑wide asset risks.
Required profile
- Education to A‑Level/HNC standard or equivalent.
- Experience in asset management within housing, property or construction sectors.
- Ability to interpret and analyse asset performance data and financial models.
- Knowledge of building safety legislation, compliance standards and housing regulations.
- Experience of long‑term investment planning and option appraisals.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Relevant professional qualification (RICS, CIOB, CIH, IWFM or equivalent).
- Understanding of regeneration and neighbourhood investment approaches.
- Project or programme management experience.
Required skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Financial modelling.
