Strategic Bid Manager

About the role

Checkout.com is looking for a Strategic Bid Manager to join its RFP Management team in London. You will lead high‑profile RFx opportunities across global markets, working closely with commercial, product, legal and other internal teams to deliver winning proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage RFx projects end‑to‑end, from capture to delivery of best‑in‑class RFP response packages.
• Identify customer pain points, develop value propositions and win themes, and embed them into bid strategies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders—including commercial, marketing, design, technical, product, legal, compliance and information security—to produce compelling proposals.
• Generate high‑quality business development materials that make a persuasive case for prospects.
• Act as the single point of contact for all RFx types (RFI, RFP, due‑diligence questionnaires) and champion best bid practices.
• Maintain and continuously improve the bid library and related collateral.
• Support sales during presentation stages of RFP opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in competitive enterprise commercial, strategic tendering, or payments industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
• Highly organised self‑starter able to prioritise shifting workloads.
• Proven stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Expertise in cradle‑to‑grave bid or project management.
• Commercial acumen and a passion for winning RFPs.
• Experience using AI within the RFP process.
