About the role
The Strategic Lead will provide visible and effective leadership for the Divisional Assurance and Reporting function within the Housing Options and Homelessness Division. Reporting to the Director of Housing Options and Homelessness, the role works closely with elected members and cross‑sector partners to deliver high‑quality, sustainable housing services.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the Divisional Assurance and Reporting function, ensuring high performance, financial sustainability and value‑for‑money outcomes.
- Collaborate with peers across the sector and local government to deliver innovative solutions and drive service improvement.
- Manage people and resources to meet the needs of residents, staff and the wider council.
Required profile
- Senior leadership experience equivalent to a Head of Service role.
- Proven ability to work with elected members, cross‑sector partners and senior stakeholders.
- Strong commitment to continuous learning and fostering a positive organisational culture.
