Strategic Lead Inclusion Quality & Practice

About the role

The Strategic Lead Inclusion Quality & Practice will shape inclusive education across Bristol, reporting to the Head of Service, Inclusion. You will lead quality assurance and practice frameworks for Inclusion and SEND, overseeing place‑making and co‑production to improve outcomes for children and young people.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Bristol's SEND and Inclusion Strategy and support SEND Reform.
• Lead quality assurance, workforce development and data‑driven improvement across multi‑agency partners.
• Champion inclusive practice, strengthen partnerships with families, schools and external agencies.
• Use evidence, data and lived experience to reduce barriers to participation and achievement.
• Oversee SEND place‑making, co‑production processes and service improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Significant leadership experience in a complex, multi‑agency environment.
• Expert knowledge of SEND, safeguarding, attendance and related statutory duties.
• Proven track record of quality assurance, service improvement and co‑production.
• Strong influencing, partnership‑working and communication skills.
• Commitment to inclusion, equity and improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
