Strategic Supply Chain Lead – 6‑month contract

About the role

The Strategic Supply Chain Lead will join the Future Combat Air Systems (FCAS) Supply Chain Line of Business on a six‑month contract based at Warton Aerodrome, Lancashire. You will be responsible for a portfolio of supply‑chain engagement requirements, driving strategic sourcing and supporting life‑cycle management while working closely with cross‑functional project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support all sourcing and strategic activity for the defined supply chain requirements, including negotiating pricing and contracting terms.
• Lead market engagement and supplier activity for the HPC capability, assessing technology maturity, pricing and commercial models.
• Manage supplier risk and drive supply chain resilience throughout the lifecycle from engagement to delivery.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as project management, engineering, finance and legal to ensure governance and value for money.

Required profile

• Continuous‑improvement mindset with proven examples of driving procurement improvements.
• Experience of hardware procurement for data‑centre/HPC fit‑out, including AI/GPU, CPU, storage and networking.
• Strong understanding of supplier risk and opportunity management.
• Ability to compile data, analyse and present recommendations.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
