Strategy & Finance Director – Clearing

About the role

The Strategy and Finance Director supports the Head of Clearing to ensure the business operates sustainably and at scale. The role develops management information, monitors performance, and drives both organic and inorganic growth initiatives across the clearing business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evolve management information (MI) and performance metrics for the clearing division.
• Collaborate with finance to challenge and monitor financial reporting, highlighting under‑performing areas.
• Assist in designing, implementing and tracking organic growth and acquisition strategies.
• Identify revenue and risk‑adjusted profit opportunities and work with stakeholders to deliver commercial excellence.
• Support the Clearing COO on project delivery and ongoing financial tracking.
• Represent the business to senior internal and external stakeholders, preparing communication materials for town‑halls, investor relations and board packs.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial analysis, accounting and commercial finance within financial services.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a collaborative, resilient approach in fast‑paced environments.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills at senior levels.
• Ability to develop budgets, multi‑year plans and drive cost discipline across the business.
