Strategy & Operations Lead – Payments

About the role

Outpostnow is building the operating system for global commerce as a Merchant of Record. This Operations role sits at the intersection of payments, tax, finance and product, working directly with the CEO to solve high‑impact, ambiguous problems across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Own and optimise PSP relationships (e.g., Adyen, Nuvei), negotiate pricing and manage performance.
• Drive auth‑rate optimisation, routing logic and decline‑recovery strategies.
• Run chargeback and fraud operations, building visibility into payment costs and margin opportunities.
• Unblock bottlenecks across GTM, finance, product and customer onboarding, creating playbooks and processes to scale.
• Lead market‑launch initiatives, shaping product road‑maps and launching new payment rails.

Required profile

• Strong background in payments, PSPs, acquiring or payment‑adjacent fintechs.
• Hands‑on experience with auth optimisation, chargebacks and payment economics.
• Bias for action, high EQ and ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments.
• Comfortable working across functions and getting hands dirty rather than delegating.
