Street Care Operative – Brentwood (Temporary)

About the role
Opus People Solutions is recruiting on behalf of Brentwood Borough Council for a Street Care Operative. This temporary, full‑time position involves keeping the high streets of Brentwood and Sheinfield clean and safe for the community.
Key responsibilities
- Pick up litter and empty public bins on high streets.
- Handle and clear fly‑tipping incidents.
- Collect refuse and recycling from properties, including wheeled bins, bulk containers, sacks and bulky items.
- Manoeuvre wheeled bins between storage points and collection vehicles.
- Travel to various locations across the borough as required.
Required profile
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Full UK driving licence for travel between sites.
Required skills
- Full UK driving licence.
What we offer
- Hourly rate of £13.79.
- Regular Monday‑Friday schedule (10 am‑6 pm).
