Structural Engineer – Consultancy (2-5 years experience)

About the role

We are seeking a Structural Engineer with 2‑5 years of consultancy experience to join a friendly, supportive team near High Wycombe. You will work on a variety of projects from concept through to completion, gaining both technical and client‑facing experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop structural designs using steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Prepare calculations, drawings and reports in line with industry standards.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, architects and clients to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and cost estimates.
• Support the mentoring programme and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years’ experience within a structural engineering consultancy.
• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Working towards, or planning to achieve, Chartered Engineer status.
• Strong communication skills with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive, enthusiastic and keen to develop technical expertise.
