Student Achievement Coach – Support Learners

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Student Achievement Coach to work with learners across a range of programmes in North London. The role involves one‑to‑one and small‑group support to help students overcome barriers, improve attendance and boost academic performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalised coaching and mentoring to support learner achievement and progression.
• Assist learners in developing literacy, numeracy, study and organisational skills.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, engagement and track progress against targets.
• Identify barriers to learning and devise strategies to address them.
• Set targets with learners and create action plans to achieve personal and educational goals.
• Promote confidence, resilience, motivation and personal development.
• Liaise with curriculum staff, parents/carers and external agencies as required.
• Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to progress reviews.
• Champion safeguarding, equality, diversity and learner wellbeing.

Required profile

• Experience working with young people or adults in an educational, mentoring, coaching or support role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good literacy and numeracy abilities.
• Ability to motivate learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent organisational and record‑keeping skills.
• Positive, proactive and learner‑centred approach.
