Student Engagement Officer

About the role

The Student Engagement Officer will lead the enrichment and student‑voice programme at a specialist SEND college in Kingston upon Thames. This role offers the chance to design activities, build community links and enhance the overall college experience for young people.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the college’s enrichment and engagement programme, including events, residential trips and alumni networking.
• Champion student voice through Student Union initiatives, learner forums and the recruitment of Student Ambassadors.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to promote student life and college activities.
• Establish partnerships with local businesses, charities and community organisations across Kingston upon Thames.
• Support the creation of opportunities that connect students with the wider community.

Required profile

• Creative, organised and highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Passionate about improving opportunities for young adults with SEND.
• Excellent communicator who enjoys building relationships.
• Familiar with the Kingston upon Thames area and eager to develop local links.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects and bringing new ideas to life.
