About the role
The Student Support Advisor will join Kaplan International Pathways at the University of York International Pathway College, providing essential support to international students throughout their journey. You will help ensure a smooth transition from enrolment to university registration while delivering a high‑quality student experience.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome new students and guide them through the registration process.
- Provide advice and proactive support on wellbeing, academic progress, compliance and administration.
- Assist with student progression, quality assurance and safeguarding matters.
- Collaborate with the wider student support team to maintain high service standards.
- Respond promptly to student enquiries, both in‑person and via email/phone.
Required profile
- Strong customer‑service orientation with excellent verbal and written communication.
- Interest in education, particularly supporting international students.
- Confident use of IT systems, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Highly organised, able to manage time effectively and work flexibly.
- Team‑player with attention to detail, initiative and a commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding.
