Study Skills Officer – Student Services (Part‑time)

About the role
The Study Skills Officer joins the Student Services team at Windsor Forest Colleges Group, working across the Strode’s College and Windsor College campuses in Egham. This part‑time, permanent position (20 hours per week during term time) focuses on enhancing students’ independent learning and academic success.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and deliver a programme of study‑skills workshops covering literacy, research, essay writing and higher‑education preparation.
- Provide one‑to‑one interventions and personalised support for students identified as needing extra assistance.
- Collaborate with curriculum and tutorial teams to pinpoint learners requiring support and coordinate external experts.
- Promote study‑skills services, maintain up‑to‑date support materials and track utilisation against departmental targets.
- Manage learner behaviour, contribute to community‑building activities and undertake occasional administrative duties.
- Flexibly work additional hours for college events when required.
Required profile
- Relevant experience in student support, academic coaching or education development.
- Ability to develop and deliver engaging workshops and personalised learning interventions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with academic staff and external partners.
- Organisational ability to manage tracking, evaluation and administrative tasks.
