Sub Agent – Civils

About the role

We are seeking a Sub Agent to join a Tier‑1 civil engineering contractor on the Sizewell C project in Leiston. The role is full‑time, permanent and based on‑site, offering the chance to manage key civil works and contribute to a major infrastructure programme.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning and delivery of civil engineering work packages.
• Manage engineers, supervisors and subcontractors on site.
• Ensure safe execution of works in line with project requirements.
• Monitor progress against the programme and propose solutions to delays.
• Oversee quality assurance, inspections and documentation.
• Assist with cost control, forecasting and resource planning.
• Produce and review RAMS, ITPs and temporary works documents.
• Coordinate site activities and maintain effective communication across teams.
• Drive compliance with environmental, health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Sub Agent, Senior Engineer or Section Engineer on civil or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and site management processes.
• Understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multidisciplinary site teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Valid CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid certifications and a full UK driving licence.
