Sub Editor – Financial Markets Publication

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Sub‑Editor to join our fast‑moving financial news team. This entry‑level position offers recent graduates the chance to develop editorial expertise while covering dynamic finance and technology topics for a global audience.

Key responsibilities

• Edit and proofread articles to ensure flawless grammar, tone, and adherence to the brand voice.
• Fact‑check data, sources and figures to maintain journalistic integrity.
• Apply basic SEO techniques using tools such as Google Analytics and SEMRush to improve article visibility.
• Coordinate article workflow, liaising with writers, the Features Editor and the design team to meet deadlines.
• Provide constructive feedback to contributors and assist with page layout, visuals and special‑feature planning.
• Transform press releases into reader‑friendly content.

Required profile

• A degree in Journalism, Communications, English or a related field.
• Some editing, writing or publishing experience (internship or student media).
• Strong attention to detail and solid grasp of grammar.
• Interest in finance, technology or global business trends.
• Willingness to work two days a week on‑site in Canary Wharf.
