Subsidence & Structural Movement Loss Adjuster

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Property Loss Adjuster to join a leading loss adjusting practice’s specialist Subsidence Team. You will manage a varied portfolio of residential and commercial subsidence, heave, landslip and structural movement claims across Northern England, taking ownership from initial investigation through to final settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage subsidence and structural movement claims from first notification to settlement.
• Conduct on‑site and virtual inspections to assess damage, movement and causation.
• Analyse evidence such as drainage defects, tree influence and ground movement.
• Interpret policy wording, exclusions and endorsements to determine liability.
• Prepare detailed ABI and technical reports, repair recommendations and reinstatement schedules.
• Liaise with structural engineers, geotechnical consultants, arboricultural experts, contractors, insurers and policyholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a property loss adjuster, preferably with subsidence or structural movement exposure.
• Ability to manage the full claim lifecycle independently.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in technical investigations.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical specialists and clients.
