Substance Misuse Nurse

About the role

Change Grow Live is seeking an energetic and passionate Substance Misuse Nurse to join its multidisciplinary team in Camden. You will deliver specialist clinical interventions to individuals affected by drugs and alcohol, working within a flexible service that often operates outside standard hours.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical and mental health assessments for service users.
• Provide sign‑posting and referrals to primary or secondary care as required.
• Deliver education, health promotion and screening for blood‑borne viruses (BBV).
• Administer Hepatitis B vaccinations when indicated.
• Contribute to the organisation’s Naloxone strategy and advise on harm‑reduction practices.
• Ensure clinical procedures align with UK Guidelines, NICE guidance and internal protocols.
• Supply injecting equipment, give safe‑use advice and oversee safe disposal of materials.
• Record and input client data accurately into clinical systems.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a genuine interest in substance misuse and addiction care.
• Ability to adopt a whole‑person approach and work flexibly within a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and listening skills, with a curiosity for continuous learning.
• Willingness to work evenings or late opening hours to meet client needs.
