Summer University Housekeeper

About the role

We are recruiting a large team of cleaners to support a major East London university during its summer accommodation period (June‑September). The role offers reliable daytime hours and a competitive hourly rate, ideal for candidates seeking short‑term, full‑time work.

Key responsibilities

• Clean student bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, corridors and communal areas.
• Hoover, mop, dust and perform general housekeeping tasks.
• Deep‑clean fridges and freezers, strip bedding and handle light laundry.
• Support check‑in and check‑out weekends, empty bins and restock supplies.
• Report maintenance issues and use cleaning equipment safely.

Required profile

• Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping.
• Excellent reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work 25‑30+ hours per week for the full June‑September period.
• Full flexibility to work any day of the week on a rotating roster.
• Good communication skills and a calm, professional approach.
