Sunday Shop Supervisor

About the role

Age UK is seeking a motivated Sunday Shop Supervisor for its Bury store. You will lead the shop’s operations on Sundays, delivering a high‑quality retail experience that supports the charity’s fundraising mission.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all shop activities on Sundays, ensuring smooth opening and closing procedures.
• Manage stock levels, receive deliveries and organise merchandise displays.
• Maintain a clean, attractive shop environment that encourages sales.
• Promote Gift Aid to customers and maximise daily revenue.
• Handle and lift bags of stock up to 10 kg, adhering to health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Excellent customer‑service attitude with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
• Effective team player who can work independently when required.
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy bags of stock.
• Basic knowledge of health & safety and fire regulations.
• Previous retail or shop‑management experience is advantageous.
• Flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to work on Sundays.
