Superflex Roadside Mechanic – Southampton

About the role

The RAC is seeking a Superflex Roadside Mechanic to join its Southampton cluster. You will be the first point of contact for members whose vehicles break down, delivering fast, reliable on‑site repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to roadside assistance calls within the assigned South East England area.
• Diagnose and repair light‑vehicle faults on‑site.
• Complete service paperwork and update member records.
• Maintain and clean the RAC van, fuel card, uniform and tool kit.
• Follow health, safety and company procedures at all times.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years experience, OR 5 + years as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• Willingness to work shifts between 06:00 and 02:00, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
