Supplier Quality Engineer – Aerospace

About the role

We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join Eaton’s Aerospace business in Titchfield, Hampshire. You will support the transformation of our site into a new Centre of Excellence for aerospace manufacturing, ensuring our supplier base meets all regulatory, customer and business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and control the supplier base in line with contractual and regulatory obligations.
• Evaluate suppliers using quality assessment techniques such as audits, questionnaires and metrics.
• Approve suppliers through desktop and on‑site audits of their Quality Management Systems.
• Communicate regulatory, customer and business requirements to suppliers and sub‑contractors.
• Develop and deliver internal and external training programmes.
• Resolve supplier‑related issues concerning manufacturing, quality, handling and communication.
• Authorize concessions in accordance with company and customer standards.
• Maintain and update supplier metrics, specifications, SPC records and ERP approvals.
• Conduct external and internal audits with authority to accept or reject proposed suppliers.

Required profile

• Degree/BTEC/HND in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment with knowledge of EASA Part 21 and AS/EN 9100.
• Proven auditing experience of electro‑mechanical or mechanical suppliers.
• Ability to supervise corrective actions and drive improvement activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with senior management.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom without sponsorship.
