Supply Chain BI Consultant – SQL, SAP, Power BI

About the role

The client is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Business Intelligence Consultant to lead the transformation of reporting and analytics within their supply chain function. The role will focus on decommissioning legacy reporting, migrating solutions to a Databricks‑based platform, and delivering trusted analytics to support decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Decommission legacy reporting processes and migrate analytical solutions to a modern Databricks environment.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Data Engineering and BI teams to design and build scalable data products.
• Develop and optimise SQL‑based data transformations for high‑performance analytics.
• Create Power BI semantic models and visual reports that meet business requirements.
• Engage with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering BI or data solutions in Supply Chain, Retail, Logistics or Manufacturing.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to work across functional teams.
• Hands‑on experience with legacy data migration and modern analytics platforms.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL for complex data transformations.
• Deep knowledge of SAP Supply Chain data structures.
• Power BI development, including semantic modelling and reporting.
• Experience with Databricks or comparable cloud data platforms.

What we offer

• Contract role (initially 6 months) paid at £500‑£550 per day via umbrella.
• Mostly remote working with two days per month on‑site in Hampshire.
