Supply Chain Coordinator – Production Planning

About the role

An established manufacturing business is looking for a Planning Coordinator to join its Supply Chain team. This hybrid role (four days on‑site, one day remote) offers a fast‑paced environment where you will help ensure production plans are executed efficiently and customer demand is met on time.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain production schedules to support customer demand.
• Monitor order requirements and adjust plans to maximise operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure capacity is utilised effectively.
• Work closely with procurement and inventory teams to manage material availability.
• Track supply‑chain constraints and proactively communicate potential issues.
• Analyse planning data and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
• Update and maintain ERP system records and planning information.
• Support inventory management activities to ensure optimum stock levels.
• Liaise with customer service teams regarding order priorities and delivery requirements.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives across planning and supply‑chain operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in production planning, supply‑chain planning, scheduling or logistics coordination.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving manufacturing environment and managing competing priorities.
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to planning.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP (preferred).
