Supply Chain Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead our warehouse, procurement and logistics functions for a well‑established manufacturing business in Birkenhead. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will shape supply‑chain strategy, drive continuous improvement and support the company’s growth across UK and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end supply‑chain operations including purchasing, planning and warehouse management.
• Develop and implement a strategic supply‑chain roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and ensure commercial terms are met.
• Lead, coach and develop teams across procurement, planning and warehouse functions.
• Identify and deliver continuous‑improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Coordinate occasional travel to UK and European suppliers.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in supply‑chain, procurement or logistics within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience negotiating with suppliers.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic change.
• Excellent communication and team‑building skills.
