Supply Chain Operations Planner

About the role

Our client, a leading multinational manufacturing group, is seeking a Supply Chain Operations Planner to join their team at the Ferrybridge facility near Leeds. The role focuses on managing stock, coordinating logistics and supporting production through effective planning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage stock levels and replenishment activities across a broad portfolio of finished products.
• Analyse inventory holdings and identify opportunities to optimise stock levels and availability.
• Monitor back orders and support the resolution of supply issues.
• Coordinate packaging and materials replenishment requirements to support production operations.
• Maintain supplier data, pricing and master data within ERP systems.
• Support direct shipment processes and coordinate transportation requirements.
• Monitor outstanding orders and proactively manage delivery schedules.
• Coordinate import logistics activities and manage relationships with third‑party suppliers and warehouses.
• Produce regular KPI reports and analysis to aid business decision‑making.
• Assist wider supply chain and logistics activities as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in supply chain, planning, manufacturing, logistics or operations (advantageous).
• Graduates with a relevant degree and a strong interest in supply chain are welcome.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Highly organised with excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems (advantageous).

What we offer

• Salary between £30,000 and £32,000 per year.
