Supply Chain Technology Manager

About the role

JD Sports Fashion Plc is looking for a Supply Chain Technology Manager in Bury to lead the deployment of the group's technology strategy within the region. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Technology, the manager leads a team of engineers and technology specialists and shapes how teams operate, manages complex technology projects and drives innovation across the supply chain ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Lead regional technology teams, managing engineers and technical leads to deliver supply chain technology initiatives
• Design and configure supply chain solutions, map new features to business needs and contribute to strategic supply chain projects
• Oversee implementation of WMS, WCS, TMS, LMS, ERP, middleware, digital twins and AI technologies, including Manhattan Active and WCS platforms
• Manage regional vendor relationships, support contracts and contribute to budget planning
• Act as the primary technology liaison for regional directors and general managers
• Drive short-term transformation projects and set up long-term continuous improvement practices
• Define processes and ways of working aligned with global standards

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in supply chain technology or related fields
• Demonstrated ability in people management, project delivery and vendor management
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with undefined responsibilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Required skills

• Strong technical understanding of WMS, WCS, TMS, LMS, ERP and integration platforms
• Hands-on experience with Manhattan Active, WCS solutions, digital twins and AI
• Preferably knowledge of Agile delivery practices, large-scale transformation programmes and budget management
