About the role

Hays Education is partnering with primary schools in Deal to recruit enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) teachers. Whether you are an early‑career teacher or an experienced practitioner, you will help shape young learners' first experiences of education in a supportive school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, child‑centred learning activities that align with the EYFS framework.
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development and prepare them for a smooth transition to Key Stage 1.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the individual needs of each child.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS.
• Proven experience teaching within the EYFS setting.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
• Commitment to supporting every child as an individual.
• Enthusiasm, creativity and patience in the classroom.

Required skills

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) certification.
