Supply Planner – Hybrid (Hemel Hempstead)

About the role

Our client in Hemel Hempstead is looking for an experienced Supply Planner to manage end‑to‑end supply chain activities. The role combines supplier relationship management, stock optimisation and coordination of promotional events, working in a hybrid model with two days remote each week.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the inbound supply plan for the calendar year, ensuring efficient stock flow.
• Allocate items accurately to support sales targets and maintain supply assurance.
• Manage optimum stock levels across the network and monitor clean‑up activities.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis, handle escalations and resolve issues with stakeholders.
• Coordinate transition management of items to minimise disruption.
• Plan and execute key promotional events, product launches and peak periods.
• Lead regular review meetings with internal teams and external partners.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and share timely information.
• Collaborate with Operations to schedule inbound deliveries and manage distribution within budget.
• Align with internal teams on forecast changes and communicate consistently.
• Identify opportunities to optimise end‑to‑end management of item categories.

Required profile

• Positive, can‑do attitude with proactive problem‑solving.
• Strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven experience managing an end‑to‑end operational supply chain, preferably in FMCG, retail or food/hospitality.
• Process‑driven mindset with a track record of managing change and continuous improvement.
• Analytical thinker able to identify issues and lead effective resolutions.
