Supply Planner

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Supply Planner to join a growing FMCG business in St. Albans. The role focuses on ensuring the right products are available at the right time, supporting excellent customer service while maintaining optimal stock levels.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inventory levels across a diverse product portfolio and monitor stock availability.
• Analyse sales forecasts, demand patterns and inventory trends to identify risks and opportunities.
• Maintain appropriate safety stock to balance service levels and working capital.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, shortages and excess inventory.
• Support S&OP and planning processes with accurate inventory reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with suppliers, production teams and warehouses to optimise stock flow.
• Develop inventory KPIs and provide regular performance updates to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy and stock optimisation.

Required profile

• Previous experience in inventory, supply or materials planning, preferably within food manufacturing, FMCG or distribution.
• Strong analytical ability and data‑driven decision making.
• Proactive, organised and detail‑oriented with the capacity to manage priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across functions.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel
• SAP (experience highly desirable)
