Supply Teacher / Cover Supervisor – Flexible Daily Rates

About the role
Academics is recruiting supply teachers and cover supervisors for primary schools in Hertford, starting September 2026. You will work on a day‑to‑day basis, choosing the schools and dates that suit your lifestyle, and will be paid a daily rate of £175‑£210 depending on experience.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver planned lessons and maintain curriculum continuity in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
- Adapt quickly to different year groups, subjects and school settings.
- Complete any required paperwork or assessments within the allocated time.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant experience as a Cover Supervisor.
- Passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
- Confidence in classroom management and behaviour handling.
- Willingness to obtain or hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
- Reliability, enthusiasm and a flexible attitude.
