Supply Teacher – Day-to-Day & Long-Term Roles

About the role

Reed Education Plymouth is seeking qualified teachers to provide day‑to‑day and long‑term supply cover across schools in Torquay and the surrounding area. You will work flexibly, choosing when and where you teach, while delivering high‑quality instruction to primary‑age pupils.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum‑aligned lessons in line with the UK Primary Curriculum.
• Adapt teaching approaches to suit diverse classroom environments and student needs.
• Maintain professional relationships with school staff and contribute to a positive learning atmosphere.
• Manage classroom behaviour and assess student progress as required.
• Provide reliable coverage on short notice, ensuring continuity of learning.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching the UK Primary Curriculum.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Flexibility to work in different schools and adapt to varying timetables.
• Enthusiasm for supporting student development.
