Supply Teacher – Flexible Daily or Long‑Term Cover

About the role

Reed Education is seeking qualified, enthusiastic teachers to provide supply cover across schools in Sussex for the 2023‑2024 academic year. You will work on‑site in a variety of settings, delivering day‑to‑day or longer‑term teaching assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum content for your subject area in the assigned school.
• Maintain classroom discipline and uphold positive behaviour expectations.
• Adapt quickly to different school environments and timetables.
• Communicate effectively with class teachers and senior leadership teams.
• Provide general classroom cover when required, beyond your specialist subject.

Required profile

• Qualified teaching status (or equivalent).
• Current DBS check on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered).
• Flexibility to work in multiple schools and an open‑minded approach to daily school life.
• Strong behaviour management and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Excellent classroom management.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Ability to adapt lesson plans quickly.
