Supply Teacher – Flexible Day-to-Day & Long-Term Cover

About the role

Reed Education are seeking qualified, enthusiastic teachers to provide supply cover across schools in Sussex for the 2023‑2024 academic year. The role offers both day‑to‑day and longer‑term assignments, allowing you to work in a variety of settings while gaining valuable experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality lessons in your subject area, following the host school’s curriculum.
• Provide short‑term or extended cover as required, adapting quickly to different school environments.
• Maintain classroom discipline and uphold positive behaviour expectations.
• Communicate effectively with class teachers and senior leadership teams regarding pupil progress and any concerns.

Required profile

• Qualified teaching status (or equivalent) and a current DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
• Flexibility to work in multiple schools and an open‑minded approach to daily school life.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in delivering lessons for subjects such as Maths, English, Science, Humanities, PE, or Modern Foreign Languages.
