Supply Teacher – Flexible School Assignments

About the role

Reed is seeking dedicated Supply Teachers to cover short‑term assignments across schools in the East Sussex area. The role is ideal for educators who can commit to at least two days per week, with the possibility of extending to a full five‑day schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to early morning calls (around 7 am) to receive daily placement details.
• Teach classes in various schools, adapting lesson plans to each curriculum.
• Deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons and assess student progress.
• Maintain effective classroom behaviour and a positive learning environment.
• Provide feedback to students and participate in school meetings as required.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Ability to quickly adapt to different school settings and student needs.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for ongoing professional development in education.
