Supply Teacher for Primary Schools in Sutton

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking qualified Primary Teachers to provide flexible, high‑quality absence cover across primary schools in Sutton. This supply teaching position offers the freedom to choose when and where you work while gaining experience in a variety of school settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons using the absent teacher’s planning materials.
• Supervise and support pupils throughout the school day, including lessons, break times and lunchtime.
• Maintain excellent classroom behaviour in line with each school’s policy.
• Complete routine teaching duties such as registers, assemblies and other daily tasks.
• Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment while adhering to safeguarding and health‑and‑safety procedures.

Required profile

• Qualified Primary Teacher with QTS (Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply).
• Flexible, adaptable and dependable with strong classroom management skills.
• Friendly, approachable and punctual, able to travel across Sutton for an 8:15 am‑8:30 am start.
• Willing to teach across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and uphold each school’s values and ethos.
