Supply Teacher – Primary Schools (Brighton & Hove)

About the role

Reed is seeking qualified primary supply teachers to cover short‑term and longer‑term assignments across schools in Brighton & Hove and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible, day‑to‑day work for teachers who want to maintain classroom experience while managing their own schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, age‑appropriate lessons across the primary curriculum (EYFS, KS1, KS2).
• Create a safe, inclusive environment that supports pupil wellbeing.
• Follow existing lesson plans or adapt them confidently when required.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with permanent teaching staff and support teams.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Recent experience in a primary school setting.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Flexible, proactive and reliable approach to work.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
