Supply Teacher – Primary Schools in Brighton & Hove

About the role

We are seeking qualified Primary Supply Teachers to deliver lessons on a temporary basis across schools in Brighton & Hove and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible day‑to‑day or longer‑term assignments, allowing you to gain experience in different primary settings while maintaining a work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment and support pupil wellbeing.
• Adapt existing lesson plans when required and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and support teams to ensure continuity of learning.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Recent experience in a primary school (EYFS, KS1 or KS2).
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Flexible, proactive and reliable approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
