Supply Teacher – Secondary (Flexible Day‑to‑Day)

About the role

Reed Education is seeking qualified secondary supply teachers to provide day‑to‑day cover across schools in Reading, Wokingham, West Berkshire and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible, short‑term or longer‑term assignments depending on your availability.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum content to secondary pupils in accordance with school timetables.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a supportive learning environment.
• Adapt lesson plans quickly to meet the specific needs of each school.
• Record student progress and provide feedback to permanent staff.
• Collaborate with school leadership to ensure smooth handover between teachers.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) certification.
• Early‑career teachers (ECTs) or experienced secondary teachers are welcome.
• Subject expertise across any secondary curriculum area.
• Flexibility to work on short notice and adapt to different school settings.
