Supply Teacher – Secondary Schools (Flexible)

About the role

We are seeking qualified secondary supply teachers to provide day‑to‑day cover in schools across Reading, Wokingham, West Berkshire and surrounding areas from September. The role offers flexible, short‑term or longer‑term assignments depending on your availability.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum‑aligned lessons to secondary pupils across a range of subjects.
• Prepare and mark assessments, providing timely feedback.
• Maintain classroom discipline and follow each school’s safeguarding policies.
• Adapt lesson plans to meet the specific needs of each school and student cohort.
• Collaborate with permanent staff to ensure continuity of learning.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
• Early‑career teachers (ECTs) or experienced secondary teachers.
• Subject specialists welcomed across all secondary curriculum areas.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required; strong subject knowledge and classroom management are essential.
