Supply Teacher – SEND (Special Educational Needs)

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic supply teachers specialised in SEND to support pupils in Maidstone and the wider South East region. This role is ideal for educators who want flexible, short‑term assignments across specialist and mainstream settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons and adapt resources to meet the individual needs of pupils with autism, SEMH, MLD/SLD, complex needs, PMLD and SLCN.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and communicate effectively with class teachers and support staff.
• Implement behaviour management strategies and ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support each child’s education, health and social care plans.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience working with children who have additional educational needs.
• Flexibility to take daily, long‑term or permanent supply assignments.
• Willingness to travel to local SEND schools and specialist provisions.
