Supply Teaching Assistant – Primary (Plymouth)

About the role

Join Randstad Education’s supply team as a Primary Teaching Assistant in Plymouth. You will work standard school hours, supporting pupils from Reception to Year 6 during term‑time. This temporary position starts in September 2026 and offers a balanced work‑life schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
• Provide one‑on‑one or small‑group support in reading, writing, and maths.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for children.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and team dynamics.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with children or young people (e.g., youth clubs, sports coaching, nurseries, care, volunteering).
• Ability to commit to the 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM schedule, Monday to Friday, term‑time only.
• Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Randstad.
