Supply Teaching Assistant (TA3) – Flexible Primary School Cover

About the role
We are seeking qualified TA3 Teaching Assistants to provide flexible cover in primary schools across East Lancashire. The role starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to support pupils in EYFS, KS1 and KS2 settings on a supply basis.
Key responsibilities
- Cover lessons during PPA time or staff absence, following prepared lesson plans.
- Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
- Lead small-group interventions or whole-class activities.
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a calm, positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with class teachers and support staff to ensure continuity for pupils.
Required profile
- TA3 qualification.
- Minimum six months experience in a primary classroom.
- Confidence in leading groups or covering full classes using provided plans.
- Flexible, positive approach and ability to adapt to different school settings.
- Good communication skills and a calm, professional presence.
Required skills
- Experience supporting children with additional needs (preferred).
